What are your thoughts regarding putting your logo/mark on a pen? Do you currently do that? How?
I'm trying to decide if that is something that I should consider doing. I can't say that I have seen others do it, so I am trying to find out what your thoughts and ideas are.

Keith - Hi from down the road (I-96). Anyhow, I don't put my logo ON the pen, but I do place it just about everywhere else I can. My logo is a brand (see the attachments) and I place an image of it on my business card, I brand the price tags for pens, etc, and I brand the bottom of the wood pen cases I make. I do a little wholesale work (gift stores, etc) and I have the brand/logo on receipts and invoices. When we do an art show, I have a sign that also displays the brand/logo. And I've just contacted an embroidery shop to have them put it on some shirts - fo the "sales staff". No, I don't put it on the pen itself, but just about everywhere else.

Thanks Ted - Appreciate the feedback from up the road!
You know I think this is the first time I have seen a question posted that only received one response with 77 views! Maybe I posted it in the wrong forum?

Dunno. Maybe "penturning" or "finishing" or "Polls, surveys and votes"? Or even "Casual Conversation"? Whatever - don't think I addressed your original Q properly. Here goes: I wouldn't do it (place my logo on a pen) with my pens. IMHO it would detract from the pen. If I'm looking to advertize (who isn't?) then there are lots of other ways to do it (see above post). Anybody else?

There was a pen turner here that used to engrave his personal logo on each of his pens. It's a very stylized approach using his name initials. The only one that I can say that I've liked. Will try to remember his name or someone else will chime in here.

If your thinking of the "H" Peter,IIRC wasn't it CHigdon????

I think that's the only marking I've seen here put on a pen.

I put a logo on the tops of all my kitless pens I make, and engrave my pen companies name on the barrels all of the pens I produce.

I've had some plated buttons made with my logo engraved on.They were made for me by a specialist enamelling company over here in the UK.

I engrave my companies name on the side of the pens with an old Gravograph bench engraver.

I've included a picture to illustrate the logo on the end of one of my fountain pens. The logo is the Black Pear which is the emblem of the city of Worcester.

I just think that it give my pens a little class and makes the pens look more distinctive.

Bryan.
