Just got back from the Distillery with a new barrel, ready to cut it up. These come directly from Lynchburg, TN.

These blanks are cut from the barrels that Jack ages his Old #7 whiskey. Charred on one side, whiskey soak line on another.
Blanks are at least 3/4" square x 5" long with most being over sized.
Pens & toothpick key rings are big sales for me at craft shows.

Yeah, they are White Oak, but they're Jack's Historical White Oak.

What an aroma!

$3.00 each, plus shipping & handling.

5 blanks, $3.00 x 5 + $5.00 S/H = $20.00
10 Blanks, $3.00 x 10 + $7.00 S/H = $37.00

I can fit up to 18 blanks in a USPS Flat Rate Envelope
18 blanks, $3.00 x 18 + $7.00 S/H = $61.00

Orders of 50 or more, blanks are priced at $2.75. $10.00 shipping

PayPal works for me.

Commercial vendors sell these for more $$$.

Each blank ordered, will come with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Hey Jim--i'm in for 10. PM payment info.
Thanks,
earl

Earl, PM sent

Hey Jim--haven't gotten the PM yet, so I just sent you one. Something wrong in the PM system this morning maybe?

Have you found a finish that seals & protects the wood but lets the smell come through? Would be a shame to waste it!!
earl

I wipe it down with DNA, then use a sanding sealer before I do the CA finish.

Little secret, but don't tell anyone... I keep an old perfume spritzer with some Jack in it. Before a show, I very lightly mist the JD pens. Trust me when I tell you that sales go up. :bananen_smilies039:

And...it also works as an aftershave, antibiotic ointment, cleaner, degreaser. Almost more versatile than WD-40 and Windex combined!! Just don't use it to freshen your breath as the Officer approaches your car window!!

I wonder if the smell could be intensified by putting the blanks into a vacuum pot with some Jack Daniels to pull the JD into the blank?

Naw; That's a waste of good JD!!:)

You're really tempting me, Jim !!!

I have never tried a Jack blank so might just take the plunge ... hick !!

I wonder how Canada Customs would react to such an aromatic package !!! . LOL !
Might have to get you to wrap the blanks in heavy packaging tape to keep the smell in !

When's Mom's Day ? .... May 13th ?
