Hi Guys, I cut some really nice buckeye burl pen blanks a few days ago. Four lots to look at and buy...if you can use 'em. : ) Pics were taken outside in full sun/smoke....so they're not as vivid as in real life. Our local Carr fire is up to 200,000 acres. : (

BP39, $25.00 + $4.00 to ship = $29.00 total. Buckeye burl pen blanks. Five pieces measure 7/8 x 7/8 x 5" long. Misted pics show two sides.

200000 acres of partly burnt trees should provide enough raw material to keep you in business for a year or two . To my nose , your well smoked blanks would be more appealing than the whiskey soaked ones . The blanks I have got from you in the past have been getting smoked all last week from BC fires .

Hey Wayne, yep, fires all over. Can pray for some early Fall rain...even though we're in August.

Hey Cliff, you're asking the wrong guy considering I'm not a pen maker but there are lots of guys here who are pros. These blanks do not have any punky wood and I do know that many folks turn 'em as is. Buckeye is porous and light though. Some guys get 'em down to final size with sanding. Any buckeye guys who want to add to this thread, feel free.
