Segmented Blanks

I have a friend who is an avid pool player and his wife asked if the was anyway to make him a cue themed pen. I have not tried segmenting my own blanks yet so what I am looking for is to have 2-3 blanks made that look similar to the points on the forearm of a cue. I'm willing to pay or trade wood stock I have. Below are 2 examples. obviously some lines don't translate from larger pieces to smaller so I'm just looking to get the effect.. possibly with Maple / Ebony and maybe some type of insert like aluminum or colored ick guard. Any interest?

Gisi makes pool cue pens saw him at the Loveland symposium. I do not have an email for him but if you email the Colorado Springs, Woodcraft store they can give him the message as he works there. He does some amazing work.
