I have a few parallel strand lumber (PSL) blanks for sale. This is not a material that I have seen used very often, so here is your chance to get this unique stuff. Here is an example of the a pen made with horizontal stranded PSL:
Parallel strand lumber (PSL), like all laminated materials (such as plywood), is prone to delamination if turned aggressively. I have used this material in several projects successfully, so it is turnable. There are a few voids in the blanks, so along with the delamination tendencies, CA glue application during turning is what I have used and recommend.
