Used this for half a dozen pens or so before switching to TBC. Mandrel has minor discoloration--I found that it seems to be prone to attracting minor surface rust if left "bare", so after a cleanup, I now keep it oiled. This is MT2 on both headstock and tailstock. No need to worry about bending the mandrel with this setup as all the pressure is on the blank(s) and spacers.
