Parting tool

Looking for a Benjamins Best Carbide 1/8 in. pen turning parting tool.
Penn State has been out of stock for some time (Item # LCPM3CAR-P) and no idea when they will be in.
Anyone have one they want to sell?

Why BB and why carbide??? Others out there. That is one of the easiest tools to keep sharp and to sharpen. Just curious. I like the Sorby ones.

Even better still...........make your own using Captain Eddie's youtube video.
Simple, easy, and you can make it to fit your hand with what you like to use.
Means more when you make it yourself and save money.

+1 on what Wayne said - I made one after watching Captain Eddy's video - works great.

And like John noted, they are easy to sharpen, so even if you prefer to buy, just buy an inexpensive one.

Unless you are doing lots of parting, a less expensive approach would be to get one or more of the $17 from Amazon PSI thin (1/16 inch) parting tools. With Prime shipping is at no additional cost.

These are high speed steel and are sized for thin kerf

I have a couple extra ones ground on angle for undercutting (one right pointing and one left pointing.

Never will wear these out.
