Burls

My grandfather found out that I have begun the journey of making pens and he requested a collection of as many different burl pens as I could get my hands on. He is an editor for a smaller newspaper and loves writing.

Does anyone have either a good source for variety packs of burl that are affordable for the beginning turner or a plethora that they would be willing to divide?

You may want to start by checking out the premium marketplace and the classifieds here at the IAP ... some of the IAP members are down under in Australia, and have access to some fabulous burlwoods that you can buy. Shipping is a bit steep, as it's air freight from Australia, but these woods are simply stunning!

Message me, I probably have the largest qty of burl wood on hand that is not a wood selling business in the US. Literally thousands of pen blanks- more than I will ever use. I have some whole burls as well.
