Any interest in some Buckthorn? I picked up a bunch yesterday and cut up a few SFRB boxes worth of blanks. If you have never turned Buckthorn, it can have an amazing shimmer to it.
Next to Desert Ironwood, this is my favorite wood to turn. It turns well and finishes beautifully. FYI: I made the pen and stopper but I cannot take credit for the bowl
Some of the blanks have a little bark on them but that will easily turn away. Some have a mix of heartwood and sapwood and some are all heartwood.
Each box will have 4 long blanks (6" plus), 7 regular blanks (5"+) and 4 Sierra size blanks. All are about 7/8" square.
How about $20 per box shipped in the USA? Pictures show two sides of each set...
