Default March 14th 2015

As promised, the date for the next meeting was discussed some, before we ate, and I think it was the way it should be done.

Pending a natural disaster.....the next meeting will be held:

March 14th 2015

The place is still up in the air, but the date is set and works for those that were at the meeting. Being this is three months(and a few days) away, should still be some room on those calendars....

BTW, I thinking about doing some spring cleaning(wink, wink), for the next meeting.

This will be meeting #16 for our chapter. I'm guessing a sawmill demo is in the works. I think I'll ride my bike to this meeting.

We can do that Bob, but unfortunately....there is no parking available for bikes. Strangely enough, you will have to bring your truck and trailer.

Hey Guys,
In the Exotic Blanks forum Ed and Dawn have issued an invitation to participate in the Beads of Courage program by making bowls with lids to give to the kids to keep their beads in when they get them. Details are in the forum and on the Beads of Courage website. Most of these go to kids that are fighting cancer. Could we discuss participating in this as a chapter? I think it's a great project that would give happiness and hope to a bunch of kids. Give it some thought and maybe we can discuss it at our next meeting. Maybe a "challenge" project for a meeting?

I'm not too good at making bowls but this sounds like a good cause. I see where Children's hospital in L R is doing this. Maybe this is the push I need. I really need to work on my finishing. Happy turning, Ted

Ted, I've never made a bowl in my life but I am going to give it a shot!
