I'm looking to get a general woodworking magazine subscription for my Dad. Lately he has been making some bowls and segmented objects. Any suggestions?

Now when you talk general woodworking you then go on to mention turned projects. I suggest this magazine if turning is his desire right now.

If you want a general magazine this is the one just about everyone gets. It does carry various types of projects including turning projects.

I am a big fan of both. Wood is more general with all kinds of projects and tool reviews. Woodturning Design focuses specifically on turning. Your dad will learn a lot and probably enjoy either of them.

I bought a bunch of old WOOD Magazines on ebay and from some Half-Priced Book stores. I do have a subscription now to WOOD Magazine. Was a deal of 3 years for $28 bucks.
