Wood Type Edited with Photo

I found some wood that has a strong yellow tint to it. It is a hardwood and was located on Long Island NY. I will post some pictures when I get a chance but does anyone have any idea what type of wood it could be?

Could be osage orange or yellow mulberry. A pic would help.

That looks just like some mulberry I have, my best guess.

It looks more like the Mulberry in my shop too... Osage Orange usually has more grain and a darker yellow/green tint.. or at least the OO I harvested in Texas did.
