Sorry if this is in the wrong part of the forum, but where is the best place (cheap) to buy rough cuts (larger than blanks so as to laminate or get otherwise creative)of the exotic lumber? Even if its just the basics (purpleheart, yellowheart, redheart, etc)? I have a few places locally (Atlanta, GA) but I meet people all the time who seem to be paying less than I...

Furniture and cabinet makers often have cutoffs they throw away. Pool Cue makers would have more of the exotics.

CSUSA also has available most of their exotics in 1" sizes anywhere from 10 to 12 inches long. I get those to use for segmenting of larger blanks. Some are kinda pricey, others are very reasonable.
