started cutting up my wood that i picked up FREE earlier this week. a ton of cherry burls swirls and good figure. also got a bunch of spalted maple. 90% of the maple is dry enough and ready to turn, the cherry i've already started soaking with dna. have about 60 cherry blaks ready, and about another 50 waiting to be cut out of a chunk still remaining. there is a ton more spalted wood, but i think i'm pretty well set for now.
hard to see in the second pic, but where all the swirls and figure is, there is what sure as heck appears like spalting to me.:biggrin:
