Wood color suggestion.

I am looking for woods that will represent a teams colors.
Orange and white.
Any suggestions?

I have not tried this, however I've heard of some people using dyes to dye certain woods. I say if you took a maple or something it could probably be dyed to whatever color you need. I'm not sure of the best way to do this, but I will ask. A guy I work with does custom gun stocks and he has dyed woods before. I'll ask for some instructions if he has any.

You could make one like this, but using the white pearl cigar pen fittings rather than black.

Also, dying is easy...turn and sand your piece from a light colored wood like birch or maple, then using a paper towel, apply an alcohol based dye like Solar Lux. Then some sanding sealer and a buff and your done...these are Birch Burls, dyed with Solar Lux:

Could I ask what color you used on the middle pen (The yellow/gold color)? I used the same brand Maple Yellow and it came out orange which mellowed a little after finishing. But it was still much to reddish.
