Whose kits?

I see that Woodcraft has their pen kits on sale, and as a new turner, theirs are the only ones I've used so far. It occurred to me that maybe other choices may be better for a new turner. I haven't had any problems with their kits -- or at least none that I couldn't point the finger back at myself and not the fault of the kit. So my question is -- are these good quality kits? Should I buy more now that they are 20% off, or should I be looking at another manufacturer/retailer? (Are there other places that sell them at the same or better quality at a lower price?)

Hi Bill,
Check out the suppliers listed in the links, Ariz Sil, CSUSA, Wood-n-Whimsies, Woodturningz,etc... you will be happy with the selection, and the prices.

Chris,

In the volume we buy you are ABSOLUTELY correct.

However, if purchasing 10 or fewer kits, it CAN be cheaper at Wood Craft (because of freight). And, if you are not familiar with the kits, you get to SEE them at Wood Craft.

Not ALWAYS a bad choice.
