Whimsically through some odd and ends together

I have some pieces of mystery wood that Woodturningz send me when I order from them. The lighter wood is the mystery wood. I also had some scraps of Bloodwood and Blue Acrylic. Glued it all together, turned it and this is what I came out with. I call these my give away pens. I experiment with different angle cuts and colors and then I give them away. I never knoiw what they will look like and as Forrest Gump says, "It's like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gonna get"

They look pretty good! The lighter wood looks like maple, not positive though.
