Where can I find a new Belt for the Nova Comet 2 lathe?

:befuddled:I have gone all through teknatools website and elsewhere online and can't seem to find a place to order a new belt for the Noca Comet 2.

I do enjoy this lathe and its cool feature but.... This is the first lathe that has a headstock lock, which I enjoy for many reasons. But twice now I have turned on the motor while the headstock lock was in place. This heats up and slightly melts the tracks in the belt causing a thump each time the melted spots go over the pulleys.

Anyone know where I can get this?

Call Teknatool support they are great to work with. When I asked for a belt they shipped me one for free!

You can get one through woodturningz it would be alot faster

If you can read the identification mark on the belt, you'll be able to find one online easily.

I bought a couple of spare belts for my Nova 1624-44 from a random Amazon vendor -- "Gates 230 J 6" was the id code for the belt I needed, the first number is the length of the belt (23 inches perhaps?) and the 6 is the number of ribs.
