Had this antler that I thought I'd try to drill even though I figured it would run it the side. I thought I'd fill it out something but after drilling I'm indecisive as what to do with it. Throwing it away is the number one option but I'm open to suggestions.

Just a few things that popped into my feeble and aged cranial cavity:

  • Use it to make custom finials on those kits that have finials that can be popped out.
  • Use smaller pieces for accents in segmented work.
  • Grind it up and use it for inlay material.

Try this.

Here's a pic of a deer antler that I intentionally segmented. It worked well and the customer loved it.
