I am looking to make a wedding gift for a close friend and i am not sure what material or style pen to use?

do you think it would be wise to make one foe the guest book as well?

Wow -- there are a lot of options for a wedding gift. Here are a few I've done:

Holly desk pen with custom stand
Cast rice
White pearl acrylic with one of the scuplted pens from PSI
White pearl acrylic with a filligree pen
Apollo Infinity

There are lots of other options depending on how much you want to spend, etc. Having it laser engraved is always a nice touch.

If you do one for the guest book, I'd suggest staying with a ballpoint.

I made the father sing desk pen from csusa. Their colors are black and red so I made it out of figured cocobolo with red veins then carved a heart at the top!
