What is the shortest fountain nib holder that fits a jr statesman?

Thanks, good to hear from you. Is thier another nib holder that can be retapped and work? Has anyone had success with adding threads to the jr statesman nib holder to make it shorter? ie putting more of the nibholder up the barrel?

The kit front section does come apart and the bottom brass threads actually press fit into the tiny brass tube but making the tube shorter will give you problems because you still have the same feed at the same length. Like Mike said, if we knew what your goal is, perhaps we could offer some thoughts.

One possibility is to make the holder section then you can turn the threads as long as need to shorten the exposed protion. Here is and example:
