what to put on a satin pearl slimline?

On my last order I included some satin perl slimlines from craft usa. After looking at them I am really unsure about what to put on it. I was wondering if anyone here had some made up with this (does not have to be slimline) and if there's any photo's or tips you care to share/pass on.

I've only done a couple of satin pearl...
Slimlines : white curly maple which is ok & solid pink acrylic which is really nice combo

Cigar - I did a "mother of pearl and black" from woodcraft (berea??) on satin pearl that looked incredible.. See photo:

I did a Cocobolo and satin pearl slimline that I liked. It was rich, but had a more feminine look. A customer bought it for his GF...

I have done an Ebony with Satin Pearl fittings. It looked great, but if I was going to do it again, I would go with a solid black acrylic.

Ed, you'll find a number of satin pearl pens in my album. Enough to get a good idea, IMO.

I think Pink ivory would make a nice combo with satin pearl.

I used a violet acrylester blank with the pearled silver satin and it was awesome, almost like an "elf wand". The ladies loved it.

ok that helps super well. thanks! Am going to try one in purpleheart tomorrow and see how that turns out. I have been browsing the photo's in the gallery and quite impressed with the diversity there. Gave me some ideas on this one.

Is the satin pearl durable? I have heard that it wears easily. I have, however, found satin nickel to be fairly tough.

A matter of taste. Whatever WOOD you put on it should be attractive. []

Berea AA25. Solid black acrylic. Black makes for a classy and rich looking pen.
