If you had your choose what plating would you select for high end. Platinum or Sterling Silver ?

Platinum wins, solely because its far more durable than Sterling Silver.

High end: Platinum, Rhodium and in gold color only Titanium Gold. The only "cheap", but very durable platings (in my opinion and experience), are Chrome and Satin Nickel (Berea kits). Stay away from other gold platings, whatever they name 'em: upgrade, 10k etc.

Black titanium is my favorite one, especially with rhodium.
