OK, I am going to try a wood ID question also??
I am part of pass it forward box#3 and pulled this piece of wood out. of the box.
I like the color and grain a lot; but, do not know what it is.
Is a possibility, Mesquite? Like what was just suggested to William below.
But, it doesn't quite look like Mesquite to me.
The picture does not do the wood justice, it is darker than the pictures.
And darker than the mesquite in front of me.
