What do I have here?

I purchased a mixed lot of pen & pencil kits. Mostly slimlines but, then this was in the mix. Puzzling that there are 2 Pens(?)Pencils(?) or what that is built into the ?transmission? I may have to pull out of packing to find out if they really are pen or pencil or?
The tubes are 3/8". Kit is Daycom
If someone is familiar with these and can tell me what they are, I appreciate it.
