What to do with this? (gloat)

So this guy comes up to me at work yesterday and asks if I can make a pen from deer antler. I say yes and mention that i'm always on the look out for it. He says that he has a small antler at home and wants to see if I can make him a slimline. He also says he'll pay me for the trouble and give me the leftovers.

I say... bring it in and I'll see what I can do with it.


Looks to me like someone's getting a free pen!

(that's a cigar pen for size comparison.)

I live in an area where I see anywhere from 30-50 mule deer every day and that is the strangest looking antler I've seen. If I saw one around here with nice straight tines like that, he'd be dead in less than 2 minutes.

I learned to be careful with that "give me a rack and I will give you a pen" offer. Last time the guy gave me a rack that looked like it came off a jackalope!! I got 1 pen for him and 1 for me. But then I got an elk rack and the guy did not want anything. Guess it all works out.
