I am still amazed at the materials you all turn into pens? Wood, plastics, corn cobs, metal, snake skin and so on... What types of materials, woods, etc. have you tried that simply did not work?

The reason I asked was it seems anything that has little to no moisture could potentially be set in resin, cut into blanks and turned.

I think that the only limit is imagination. I saw some straw bale pen blanks at TPS.

That was the answer I was looking for, imagination!!! I am all for keeping tradition so to speak, but I am also in the favor creating the new! Cant wait to get my lathe!
