Last spring I participated in an out door craft sale. About two hours into the sale a rain shower came up. I had most of the pens I had on display get a little water on them. I wiped what I thought was all the water off all the pens.

Turned out that about 10-12 cigar pens must have not been wiped too well. White hazy spots under the finish on them where the water was.
I thought that over the summer in the house that the spots would fade away, didn't happen. Anyone know a cure for it short of stripping all the hardware off and refinishing?

I've had the same problem on desk magnifiers-buffing them with RenWax helps, but I can still see the shadow of water spots. So, I am also interested in a good answer. In my case, they were originally Beall buffed and waxed, so it seemed they should be easy to get back to the original finish-WRONG.

Ideas graciously entertained! (and even appreciated!!)[:p][:p]
