I TURNED MY FIRST VERTEX TODAY AND LOVED IT!

Since one has to cut replacement tubes, if needed, I wondered from those of you who have turned them, how citical is the length of the tube?

I am not sure about the mechanics of the pen. Could I be off by 1/16" and be okay? 3/32"?

I hate cutting tubes. I have so precious little time for turning, I hate to waste it on measuring and cutting. I don't undersand why they cannot just sell replacement tubes and charge more. I am happy to pay just so I don't have t do it myself.

If you love the kit , isn't it worth the time to cut the tubes correctly? Since it is a one piece pen the length will affect whether the refill sticks out the right amount .

Carmen,

I went to Harbor Freight and picked up a mini cut off saw. It does a great job for cutting tubes, nice and square. Only takes a few minutes to measure and cut them down.
