lately i've been having this problem around the bushings where it seems like i can't sand the 1/16th of an inch right next to the bushings... it seems like when i turn the wood away from the bushings i always end up with this little cove or something that makes sanding it darn near impossible. then, when i go back to sand my ca coats, it always looks different than the rest of the pen...

anyone else ever experience this and if so, what have to done to combat it?

thanks y'all!

Had the same problem. Turned out point of skew was cutting to deep next to bushings, easy to do, so I put more up and down angle on skew, about 45 degree, and a real soft touch near the bushings. That helped me a lot. Hope this helps.
