Twist mechanisms

I have been having problems with the twist mechanisms in slim & EURO pens. When writing the pen will retract (mechanism will retract itself) and you need to turn top again. All parts fit tight and are snug. Is there anyway to make the twist mechanism a tighter turn?

There should be a detent that keeps the pen from "unwinding" under pressure of writing
Watch the pen tip carefully when you twist the mechanism. As you turn, the refill should move out a certain distance, then snap back a hair as it slides into the detent.
If it doesn't do that, my guess is that you pressed the transmission in too far or something else is impeding the mechanism from twisting as far as it needs to.
