Has anyone tried turning silestone? I ran across some mixed in with some corian pieces the other day and it looks really neat.

Anyone ever tried turning it? From what I have read, it sounds fairly similar in composition to tru-stone.

Silestone is very hard similar to granite. Yes it is similar to truestone but not the one that we use. Truestone comes in two types. Pliable and non-pliable. The non-pliable is used for countertops etc. To work with silestone you need diamond tip tooling and alot of water to keep the tool cool.
