I have seen alot of you guys making your own finals for your pens. How is this done? I have a few pens that I would like to try this to but don't have a clue how to do it. Thanks

I recomment starting by making the European fenials. CSUA sells a small mandrel and the little studs that fit into the "final nut". This little mandrel is only a couple of bucks, fits right into a Beall collet and makes this a simple little process.

Once I mastered this mandrel...it got me thinking about how simple custom finals would be by just changing one little thing. There are a million ways to make these, but the European start was a natural "first step" for me as I could just copy the "stock" screw.

I make custom Ivory finials by taking a small chunk of Ivory and drilling a small hole in the back 1/8" deep. Then I epoxy a nail in the small hole. Chuck on to the nail, and turn the Ivory chunk as desired. Then I use a parting tool to remove enough of the nail to leave just a mounting stud.
