I have this overwhelming desire to insert two small pieces of copper tubing perpendicular to the axis of a Sierra blank. There would be pieces of wooden dowel glued inside the copper tubing--matching or contrasting the pen blank, I haven't decided yet. What's the best tools to use for turning the blank into a pen? I'm pretty sure I'm not the first one to think of this--anyone have any ideas or experience they'd like to offer?

Thank you very much.

Hi Harry, I did one with ali, recently and later in the posts, I discribed how I did it. I'm afraid I have no idea how to put a link to it. But in essence, I turned it, and all my other metal pens, with a file. [:)]
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link to the tutorial, and the information on files. I think that's enough to get me started--someday. Got a couple of other things I need to do first. When I get it made, I'll post it in my album.
