Turning between centers

During the birthday bash celebration I took advantage of JohnnyCNC's discounts and bought some bushings to try.

At first I made some real rookie mistakes, but now, I just want to tell everyone I am a real convert, and John's stuff is top notch. The quality of my turnings has improved greatly.

As someone interested in turning between centers what will I need to get started? In the interest of avoiding the same mistakes what were the problems you had?

Basically, you will need to have a dead center, and a live center. That is basically it. A smaller toolrest than the one that came with the lathe would help as well. Contact JohnnyCNC for all the products and info.

I just turned my first blank between centers and it was quite effortless. Not sure if there is a wrong way to do it but if you are thinking about it then give it a shot.

I'm a convert, too. I get such better results using JohnnyCNC's bushings, and TBC. Now when something goes wrong, it most definitely is my fault and mine alone!
