Somewhere along the line I started using gun cleaning brushes for my pen work. I glued up 2 different sizes; 410 and 20ga on a little handle I turned. Now, when cleaning up tubes of extra end grain on the lathe I just run the little barrel cleaning brushes inside and the tubes are shinny and spotless! But, I am one of the minority who uses Poly/Gorilla glue for all pen work. I accelerate the drying time by dipping the blanks in water. Poly/Gorilla loves a bath!

Those do indeed work great Philip. Been using the brass brushes myself now for about a year or better.
