I was at the Wood Works show today and caught up with Barry Gross. I bought a rattle snake skin blank from him. Two years ago I tryied one and blew the blank appart. Any Ideas on turning other than sharp tools and easy touch. This one is going to my step son for his birthday.

Many have had good luck using a scraper.

Use a sander to knock of the corners on the blank, saves time and reduces stress on the blank.
