Travertine Stone

Does anyone have any experience with trying travertine stone on a pen? Its 3-4 on the moh's scale.

not tried a pen, but put it in my bathroom. It shapes relitivly easy with power sanders. The tiles generally have a lot of voids which are weak and could cause problems. It is quite brittle to work with also, cracking and chipping.

thanks, guess I'll leave that alone. Found some locally, doesn't sound like something I could use.
