Totara Burl

I went to Woodturningz today to pick up an order and Fritz gave me the tour. Wow I was in heaven for about an hour, I could have stayed there all day. I picked up a piece of wood called Totara burl, which I have never seen before. I guess it is from New Zealand and it is extremely nice, I will post pics when the pen is done.

Josh, I looked it up. Sure looked pretty. They said it was soft and oily. Looking forward to seeing the pen.

I purchased five blanks from Woodturningz and it appears they ran out fast.

Anyone have another source?
