I finally broke down and bought a titanium gold pen kit from Exotic Blanks, thought I'd see if it was worth all the hype. But being very skeptical of claims on pen kits I thought I'd test it out.
I did a Google search on the material since I knew nothing about it and it turns out Titanium Gold is 4 times harder than steel. Another property is it is much more magnetic than steel. Hmmm, more magnetic huh? I can test this pretty easy. Went and got one of my N5 neodymium magnets and lo and behold it tested much stronger than my gun metal pens. I'll not be sticking it under the Rockwell tester though. I'm happy, love the pen.
