Hi All,
Completed a pen made from Rhinoplastics "Tiger Stripe" I purchased this week from http://www.woodzone.com
I am happy with the look of the blank, the kit is a slimline in gunmetal,my 14 year old's finish of choice.the Rhinoplastic turned well with both conventional tools as well as carbide. It acted very similar to the other acrylics I have turned. It does take longer than turning wood ,at least for me.But the trade off is that once it is sanded with MM to 12000 and polished you are done.
As a side note/photography tip I discovered that a couple well placed rare earth magnets under my white poster board go a long way to help keep the pen in a desired position and not keep rolling down on the clip.
Comments and critiques most welcome,
Andy
