Threading Issues

I have a couple Sedona kits and Navigator/Baron kits in which the threading doesn't work every time. It's very inconsistent. It seems like it's catching on the very initial twist somehow. It seems like it works a little better if you make a very conscious effort to try and put it on exactly straight, but very precisely so.

Has anyone else had threading issues with these kits? Know a way to resolve it, preferrably without dismantling the pen and replacing the parts?

I see that 100 other people don't know what to do either, or have never had the issue!

I tried cleaning the threading, looking for defects, etc... but everything looks good. I don't see a reason why it would be hanging up.

I guess I'll have to deal with it.

i experienced this with a jr gent from timberbits. what I did was lubricate the threads with some wd-40 and play with it while watching tv. cleaned up the lube and it was good to go after that.

I put a dab of plastic polish on the threads and lap them. Make sure that you wash all the polish out
