I made a full sized emperor pen today. It looks great, but the threads that hold the lid to the body of the pen slip for some reason. If you're threading the pen cap onto the body, you'll feel it hit bottom, that then with the little bit of effort you'd extent to help it keep from opening in your pocket will cause the threads to slip to the next set, and the next, etc... It has one position it stays closed better on...., but it's not satisfactory to me.
My question is, is there a way to build the plastic threads back up so they hold properly again. I'm pretty sure it's the plastic that's worn or over sized, even though the parts are new. Otherwise it's back to CSUSA, to get a new kit and start over which could be a big bummer, as it's mother of pearl, and looks absolutely magnificent. I'm pretty sure that the threads slipping has nothing to do with me....but I could be wrong.....
