Thread Dimensions?

Does anyone know what the thread size is on the EURO cap/tip is?

Would like to make some custom finials, but can't seem to find the thread that would match the insert.

Well, after trying a bunch of stuff at HomeDespot, I was able to determine its an M4 bolt that fits just fine... now.. to try some custom stuff!

Mike; I often have to match a thread. a thread gauge in both metric and SAE has saved my bacon on more than one occasion. HomeDespot has a thread gauge that can be used to size a screw but won't determine a thread.
