Hello All! I am intersted in this beautiful wood, but have no experience with it. Any tips/techniques you are willing to share? Drilling, turning, sanding, finishing?

Drills good, turns good, sands good, finishes good but sometime has a tendency to crack a month later. Make sure your wood is really dry before wasting any time on it.
As always, lazer-sharp tools and light cuts. Expect some chip-outs on ends as you get wood thin to brass tube.

The bright sapwood and the dark heartwood can give you some spectacular design opportunities. This wood polishes to a nice luster and works well with wax and polishing systems (like that sold by Beall). Nice wood, but watch for nasty wood eating critters in it.
