Sat here and played with a tealight when I just realised that the material maybe can be used for pen turning.

Has anyone tried using the aluminum for segmenting for example?

Give it a try, Johan. It's a nice soft & thin grade of aluminum - should work fine if you have some old used candles laying around.

haven't used the tea light aluminum, but have used soda can aluminum.. should be about same grade of metal... works great.. definitely give it a try and post a picture.
