TCLPRO lathe.....

Iam thinking of buying this for a second lathe, it seems to have good
specs 1/2 hp # 2 mt 1"x8tpi 78 pounds ( that's heaver than the Jet )
and at $ 160 dollars seems like a good deal, no variable speed but for that price I can live with it. Any comments would be appreciated....

Try doing a search of this and the Casual Conversation forum (remember to search the archieved messages, too, by checking the appropriate check box on the search screen). This has come up before. The reason I know is that I have a TC Pro, and am pleased with it, as are most who have it. However, many members provided feedback when I asked, and when subsequent members asked too.

I have a TCLPRO. With the exception of VS motor, I'd put it up against any of the other lathes out there. Plenty of power. Mine has done everything I've asked of it and then some. I'll buy another one if I need to.
