I have a Baron kit and I believe the refill for this kit is a '707 sf metal tip.' First is this correct? Second is there another type of refill.

Yes, all the Baron/Navigator kits I've used include a Hauser refill (707 or 777). Most of these have been ok but I think the Schmidt 5888 fine point refills are consistently better quality. I bought my last batch from IAP member Anthony at the Golden Nib.

Bill, Not positive but I think the Pilot G2 refill from the Office supply stores also fits the Baron.
I don't think the pilot G2 fits the Baron - I'm almost positive it doesn't...
The Baron takes Scmidt refills - not sure what the number is off the top of my head..

Pilot G2 does fit the Baron/Navigator, buy them all the time for my wife's pens. Wal Mart has the best price I have found.
