Can anyone give me a good, cheap source for deer antler? I have recently made a couple pens from some antler I found shed in the woods, and I am hooked!! I would love to make some more!!

Find a deer! Actually I have no idea. Your profile doesn't show where you are from. When I was in south Tejas many of the hunters would leave the smaller antlers with the butchers. I'll be watching this thread with interest.

I manage to get some from some friends locally, not a lot but it comes in very handy.
Other than that, look on Ebay they have some that is fairly reasonable.
You also might check with some of the places in your area that process deer.

I don't know how you define cheap; but you can buy deer antler from www.woodturnerscatalog.com . I would bet that if you did an Internet search, you could find loads of places that sell deer antlers.

If you have friends who are hunters, check with them(or maybe a local hunting club). Not every buck that is harvested is a trophy. Also hunters sometimes find antlers that have been shed. Offer to trade a pen.....antler, of course.... for a supply of raw marerials.
