Steampunk Watch Blank Hints

Anyone have tips on how to get the watch parts formed to fit around tubes?

I drilled a blank with the same size as the tube you are using for the watch parts. I then cut it in half lengthwise and use a dowel and hammer to form the gears or watch face to the curve. Just make sure the blank and dowel are made of a hard wood to support the pounding with a mallet or light hammer.

lots of heat works, then a trafsfer punch of the right size to form
